Pleiad Investment Advisors is an independent Hong Kong-based asset manager founded in 2014, specializing in absolute-return-oriented, fundamental equity investment strategies with a geographic focus on the Asia Pacific region, particularly China and Japan. They employ a research-intensive, bottom-up security selection process, identifying companies with compelling risk-reward opportunities relative to their fundamentals. Pleiad manages concentrated portfolios of high-conviction names for extended periods, utilizing a private equity-style methodology for primary research and quantifying variant perceptions. Macroeconomic analysis supplements risk/reward assessments and informs position sizing. The firm offers Asia Equities Long-Short and Long-Only strategies, as well as Japan Equities Long-Only and Japan Growth-Stage Private Equity strategies. They have also partnered to establish technology-focused growth equity funds targeting late-stage private startups in Japan. As of December 31, 2025, their AUM was approximately US$1.35 billion. The firm manages assets exclusively for Professional Investors in Hong Kong and Accredited Investors and Qualified Purchasers in the U.S.
